MEET THE MARVELOUS MISTLETONES

AMANDA VIEHWEG

Amanda is beyond excited to be a Marvelous Mistletone! She is most often seen performing in caberets with Mary Baker and Friends. She's also been a volunteer on and offstage,  and is a former Youth Education Director of Theatre Lawrence.

When she's not on stage, you'll find her using her talents as the Issue Management Leader for Payments Default at U.S. Bank where her teammates around the globe know her as 'Diva'. She lives on Lake Perry with her husband and two pups. She loves Christmas almost as much as she loves the Green Bay Packers,  and yes, she is a Shareholder!

JODY JOHNSON

Jody is Associate Director of Training and Development for Jayhawk Academic Advising at KU. He served as a member of the Douglas County Citizen Review Board, a panel that hears cases of children in foster care and truancy. That experience inspired him to write a number of musical pieces that were performed over time at the Governor’s Conference for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect.

Jody fills in occasionally as a church pianist and enjoys playing piano Christmas gigs during the season. He also accompanied a production of the Rocky Horror Picture Show at Theatre Lawrence.

AMY KELLY

Although her superpower may be revising nonprofit bylaws and policies, Amy has also been known to sing and act from time to time. She is a dedicated community volunteer and has served on many local boards of directors. She is a co-host of !NSPIRE, a KTWU original series, and pitches on-air for Kansas Public Radio during its membership drives. An attorney for the U.S. Trademark Office, Amy teleworks out of her Lawrence home.

GENEE FIGUIERAS

You’ve seen Genee on stage at Theatre Lawrence, Topeka Civic Theatre, in the Plymouth Congregational Church Choir in Lawrence, and you might have even heard her voice if you’ve ever been in an emergency in a small aircraft “Flaps… Down… Auto-system Fail…”

In real life, Genee is the Director of Pharmacy at Western Missouri Medical Center, her second career after serving as a dental hygienist for over 20 years. She still participates in the dental world as a dental hygienist, educator and consultant.

RYAN HAMLIN-CANADY

Ryan is a native Lawrencian and has performed in many venues around town. You may recognize him from a multitude of shows at Theatre Lawrence including Mama Mia, Lifespan of a Fact, and way back in the day… Forever Plaid!

He’s newly married! He’s very grateful for his husband, Darren, and the rest of the ‘Tones. He’s also happy it’s the holiday season — a welcome distraction from the fact that he will never be a bridezila again.

MELIA STOCKHAM

Melia fills the rocker-chick quota for this group by also being a part of Coversmith, a Lawrence-based rock-and-roll cover band. She’s also performed in musical roles ranging from Mary Poppins to Riff Raff in the Rocky Horror Show.

She has a PhD in Management, and is the Director of Leadership Development for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas. She is also a coach, consultant, and author on workplace dynamics.
