MEET THE MARVELOUS MISTLETONES
AMY KELLY
Although she excels at revising local non-profit's bylaws and regulations, Amy Kelly has been known to sing and act from time to time. Before she reached grade school, Amy and her siblings could sing the scores to a dozen musicals, and she's been lucky to perform in several of those shows over the years.
Amy is a dedicated community volunteer and is currently a Theatre Lawrence board member. She is a co-host of !NSPIRE, a KTWU original series, and pitches on-air for Kansas Public Radio during its membership drives. An attorney for the U.S. Trademark Office, Amy teleworks out of her home in Lawrence.
MELIA STOCKHAM
Melia fills the rocker-chick quota for this group by also being a part of Coversmith, a Lawrence-based rock-and-roll cover band. She’s also performed in musical roles ranging from Mary Poppins to Riff Raff in the Rocky Horror Show.
She has a PhD in Management, and is the Director of Leadership Development for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas. She is also a coach, consultant, and author on workplace dynamics.
GENEE FIGUIERAS
You’ve seen Genee on stage at Theatre Lawrence, Topeka Civic Theatre, in the Plymouth Congregational Church Choir in Lawrence, and you might have even heard her voice if you’ve ever been in an emergency in a small aircraft “Flaps… Down… Auto-system Fail…”
In real life, Genee is the Director of Pharmacy at Western Missouri Medical Center, her second career after serving as a dental hygienist for over 20 years. She still participates in the dental world as a dental hygienist, educator and consultant.
RYAN HAMLIN-CANADY
Ryan is a native Lawrencian and has performed in many venues around town. He’s newly married! He’s very grateful for his husband, Darren, and the rest of the ‘Tones. He’s also happy it’s the holiday season — a welcome distraction from the fact that he will never be a bridezila again.
